First, in all Spanish classes, Mrs. Gibbons is preparing for the Cinco de Mayo celebrations on May 5th. The classes will be celebrating by doing piñatas and eating plenty of candy.
On April 28th, Mr. Sulek’s Physics class will be traveling to Six Flags Great America in Chicago to learn about velocity, acceleration, and everything else that goes into making a roller coaster.
On the other side of the science spectrum, get ready for chirps and tweets! Mrs. Tallon is preparing her biology classes for the baby chick project they will be doing directly after Spring Break.
In Current Events, Mr. Youngren’s students are preparing for a term paper that is due in May. The paper must be over any current news topic that is largely controversial.
Finally, the Journalism class has been hard at work getting newspapers out and preparing the next Peoria Heights yearbook.
Many of the teachers here at Peoria Heights High School have prepared amazing projects and assignments for their students to end the year, and students will hopefully use these projects to end the year right!
