The sounds of Christmas filled the air of the Peoria heights Grade School gym Monday night. Mr. Chris Piper and the fifth grade band opened the concert with Jingle Bells. They followed with the traditional favorites, Good King Wenceslas, Jolly Old St. Nicholas.
The PHHS choir, under the direction of Mr. Bolton, presented A Christmas Medley. This year’s choir is small but mighty! Members include Jessica Quinn, Emmy Tiethoff, and Susan Kness. The Peoria Heights Grade School sang two numbers, Christmas in the Air and On Christmas Morning. The PHHS choir joined them for Go in Peace.
Senior Emmy Tiethoff sang Silent Night, and Mr. Piper and the PHHS Concert Band, a combined group of high school and junior high played Christmas Winds. The band closed the concert with Mussorgsky’s The Great Gate of Kiev, rounding out the evening of music festivities.
