Sophomore Adrianne Summers-Reynolds was voted Student of the Month for March. Adrianne is the daughter of Rhonda Summers and Cindy Reynolds. Adrianne has attended Peoria Heights schools throughout. Her favorite sport is basketball, and she has played outside of school almost her whole life. She started playing in school in sixth grade, and it has continued to be her favorite activity. She added volleyball in eighth grade as well. She plays other sports outside of school, especially golf and softball.
This year she had the misfortune to be injured early in the basketball season and had to walk around on crutches and in a boot for much of the season. Her team missed her, but she continued to support her team in every way she could.
Along with sports, Adrianne loves to draw. She has taken several art classes.
An honor student, Adrianne is one of the top students in her class.
Faculty members had some great things to say about her. ”Adrianne volunteered to help with track.” “She is a pleasure to have in class. Not only is she very talented in art but she has an excellent work ethic. I never have to tell her to get her project/supplies out or remind her to start working. All of her sketchbook assignments are finished on time and with excellent attention to detail. She is also more than happy to help the other students around her with any questions they may have.”
“I vote for Adrianne! She is a very dedicated and well-behaved student. She comes to advisor with her reading material and any homework that needs to be completed. She is never a discipline problem and has excellent attendance. “
“I would agree that Adrianne is also a very good student.” “Adrianne is a great choice. Although I do not have her in class she is an excellent student.”
Adrianne’s future plans include college. She is considering ICC and then Bradley, with a degree in Physical Therapy. We at PHHS wish her the best in whatever she decides!
