Freshman year is full of struggles. You are in a new school – a new place. Everything feels strange and foreign, and you may not even have any friends yet.
I feel rather odd giving advice, and if you are anything like me you will probably not even listen to any advice you are given, especially from someone only a few years older than you.
But if you will listen to anything, listen to this: whether or not you enjoy your high school experience is up to you. No one else can enjoy it for you, and no one else can make you happy.
High school is a place where you begin to find what you yourself love and what you stand for. You need to learn and do the best you can to carve your way to a bright and beautiful future.
But the most important thing is to have fun and enjoy yourself. These four years go by faster than you think. Never forget who you are -- and have a blast.
